About the Authors

Rajendra Kumar Sharma is professor and head of the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Earlier, he was in the faculty of Mathematics at IIT, Kharagpur. He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate classes for more than 20 years, and guided eight Ph.D. theses and more than 30 M.Tech. projects. Sharma has published more than 45 research papers in international journals. He has participated in several conferences, including the coveted International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), 1994, in Zurich, Switzerland.
