In this part . . .

Your team is ready, your tools are in place, and everyone is excited about starting to work in a more agile environment. You even have a pilot project in mind.

In the next few chapters, I show you the nuts and bolts of working on an agile project. To make things simple and uniform throughout this section and the rest of the book, I largely use terminology from the scrum framework that’s introduced earlier in Chapter 4.

Using the Roadmap to Value — a visual overview of an agile project — I walk you through more agile processes, artifacts, and events. You see how to quickly start an agile project with a cohesive product vision and find out how to define and estimate product requirements. You walk through a typical day in the life of a scrum team. You see how to create working product features in regular iterations, and how to showcase that work throughout your project. You also see how agile project teams constantly inspect their work and processes and adapt for improvement. Finally, you find out how to release features to product users.
