WAYS OF USING THIS BOOK

The Adventures of an IT Leader is written for IT managers, potential IT managers, those working closely with IT managers, those who want to understand how to use their IT department to greater effect, and those who are simply curious. While the book is useful and (we hope) interesting to an individual reader, we’ve also designed it to be the focus of discussion. We suggest reading and discussing the book with a peer, or convening a group of readers at a “brown-bag lunch” or other similar session to discuss the chapters one by one. Questions for reflection or discussion are offered at the end of each chapter. There is no particular problem with reading ahead, although reading ahead will not reveal right answers. At IVK, ...
