Who’s going to carry all that gear?” This question is bouncing around in my head while I stare at all my equipment in the quaint bush town of McCarthy, Alaska, population 38. I’m headed into the Wrangell St. Elias National Park on assignment for Men’s Journal. Eleven million acres of massive glaciers, unclimbed peaks, roaring rivers, and grizzly bears will be my “studio” for the next 2 weeks.
