Abstract:

This chapter describes the preparation, characterization and properties of polyolefin-based nanocomposites, including ethylene vinyl acetate, polyethylene, polypropylene, and ethylene propylene diene monomer, which are widely used. To prepare nanocomposites, layered clay minerals (sodium montmorillonite, bentonite, Cloisite, Laponite, layered double hydroxide) and carbon-based nanomaterials (graphite, carbon nanofibers, exfoliated graphite, carbon nanotubes, graphene) are used as fillers.
