Abstract

While the popularity of using graphics processing units (GPUs) as massively parallel co-processors has increased dramatically over the last 10 years, improvements in GPU reliability have lagged behind adoption. GPUs are first and foremost gaming products, and therefore usually do not demand high reliability. However, GPUs are now being used to accelerate applications in medical imaging, nuclear science, materials science, social science, finance, and more that all require extremely high reliability.
