What Is Proaction?

Abstract

Security is a reactive concept, even when it is addressed proactively. Its primary mission is to establish defenses and controls that will withstand and respond to an endless stream of affronts and nefarious activities committed by countless nameless adversaries. Unlike proactivity, which is defined as acting in preparation for possible future occurrences, proaction is defined and characterized as being active or in a state of conscious action or habit.
