In this chapter, we looked into styling the basic chat application in the HTML format. We also discussed timestamps and formatting the page using the Moment method. After that, we went through the concept of the Mustache.js, creating and rendering templates for the messages. At last, we learned about autoscrolling and running calculations with message height properties. With this, we have a basic chat application in place.
In the next chapter, the goal is going to be to add chat rooms and names, so I go to a signup page. I enter the room, I'd like to join and the name I'd like to use. Then I get brought to a chat page, but only for that specific room. So if there are two rooms, users in room 1 are not going to be able to talk to users ...
