Getting Your Graphic into Other Programs

As mentioned in Chapter 7, PNG is the picture format that provides the best resolution for graphics you create with SmartArt or drawing tools in PowerPoint. In fact, PNG provides by far the clearest image when you use many of the new formatting effects.

To copy your graphic into another 2007 release program, just select and copy it in PowerPoint and then, in the destination program, choose the PNG picture format in the Paste Special dialog box.

To use your graphic in documents you create outside of the 2007 release programs, or to share just the graphic itself, you can save your graphic as a picture. To do this, right-click the graphic and then click Save As Picture. The Save As Picture dialog box will open, ...
