What’s New for Reference Tools in Word 2007

In Chapter 9, you’ve already seen the Table Of Contents and Bibliography Building Block galleries. And, although the new bibliography feature stands out as the biggest story for what’s new with reference tools, there are other advances of note as well.

First, as with most features, how you access reference and research tools has changed. Most reference tools are on the References tab, shown here.

However, Cross-References (shown in the preceding graphic) are also available on the Insert tab, in the Links group, as shown on the left in the graphics that follow. Additionally, the Research pane is available ...
