For styles to do their job properly, the styles in the document need to be created as a set. That is, design styles in your document to work together. As discussed in Chapter 1, in the section titled "Planning Your Documents," creating a style without any thought to how it will be used or how it will interact with other styles is quite likely to do more harm than good.
