Creating Campaigns

Once you have determined your account structure, it is time to create the campaigns. When creating the campaigns, we are going to examine the steps using the three types of campaigns we have discussed.

  • Search only
  • Content only (also called a discovery campaign)
  • Placement campaign

Name each campaign appropriately so you can quickly see its purpose. Adding items such as geographic targeting, time of day targeting, search, content, or mobile to the name helps identify any one campaign. Some sample campaign names are:

  • iPhone - California - Search Only
  • Newsletter Subscriptions - Mobile - Search
  • E-commerce Specials - USA - Content
