In this lesson, you’ll learn about the following:

• How to use a Secondary layer to isolate a range of color

• How to isolate based on a single color component

• How to limit Secondary layers using masks

This lesson will teach you how to isolate ranges of color for individual adjustment using Secondary layers.

Getting Started

As discussed in the previous chapter, secondary corrections are adjustments made to specific elements within an image. Within this context, the masked corrections you made in Chapter 4 were secondary corrections, even though they’re performed using Primary layers in the Layers list.
