15. Working with Masks

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to do the following:

• Understand how SpeedGrade stores masks.

• Apply a mask to a layer.

• Share masks between layers.

This lesson teaches you how to work with the updated mask interface, and how to use masks to achieve creative looks. This lesson will take about 40 minutes to complete.

More means better

The October 2013 update significantly changed the way SpeedGrade manages masks. A single look or grading track is no longer limited to a single mask. You can now create one mask per layer, and you can also share masks between any number of consecutive layers.
