Chapter 14. Using Your Audio Hardware
As you know by now, Premiere Pro has some powerful and professional audio features. To make the most of them, however, you may need to customize your audio hardware and its parameters. For example, upgrading your system’s default audio hardware with a third-party audio interface can provide better recording quality, more accurate playback acoustics, and a dynamic 5.1 surround mix environment. If a new audio interface isn’t in your budget, a high-quality microphone can help you get the most from your existing system when recording. Of course, no matter what hardware you have, proper parameter settings can make or break your projects.
