Adobe Photoshop CS4: Up to Speed

Introduction

Whenever Adobe churns out a new version of Photoshop, we find ourselves scrambling to learn the latest features. Each upgrade becomes more robust than the last, making the task of learning a daunting one. You can turn to books for help, but if it’s just the new features you want, the books can be more intimidating than Photoshop because they’re not designed to focus on the upgrade alone. Until now, Photoshop books could be grouped into one of three categories:

1) All encompassing ‘bibles’ that try to cover everything.

2) Cookbooks that present the reader with brief “recipe” techniques and no in-depth coverage.

3) Books that specialize in a particular area and are very in-depth (retouching, channels, color management, etc). ...
