Remove Distortion

The Remove Distortion slider is designed to correct for barrel or pincushion distortion. That's when your image ends up either bent in toward the center or bent out away from the center. This will cause vertical lines to become curved (Figures 16.119 and 16.120). You can either move the Remove Distortion slider, or drag on your image using the Remove Distortion tool (it's the top tool in the upper left of the dialog box). The grid is quite useful when adjusting this slider since it's often hard to tell if something is perfectly straight.
