Camera Raw

You can blend two different interpretations of the same RAW format image using Smart Objects. All you have to do is embed a Camera Raw file into an existing document by choosing File > Place. When you place a RAW file, you'll be presented with the Camera Raw dialog box where you can interpret the tonality and color of your image. The problem is that you might not be able to find a single interpretation that does justice to the entire image (Figure 15.128). When that's the case, choose Layer > Smart Objects > New Smart Object via Copy, to create a second Smart Object that is independent of the first.
