Removing a Layer Mask

If you know you will no longer need to edit a Layer Mask and would like to permanently delete the areas that are transparent, you can choose one of the options from the Layer > Remove Layer Mask menu (Figures 15.87 and 15.88). When you do this, you will be presented with two choices:

  • Apply: Removes the Layer Mask and deletes all transparent areas.

  • Discard: Removes the Layer Mask and brings the image back into full view.
