The Palette Well

If you look in the options bar at the top of your screen, you should notice a dark gray area on the far right, which is known as the palette well. That's a special spot where you can drag the name of a few palettes to store them until they're needed. Then, when you'd like to have access to one of those palettes, just click on the name of the palette, and it will drop down from the palette well (Figure 1.6). After you're done using a palette, just click anywhere outside of the palette and it should collapse itself back into the palette well.
