1To modify individual segments of paths, you drag the anchor points on the path using the direct selection tool. You can also edit the shape of curved segments by dragging the direction points at the ends of the direction lines that extend from the anchor point of the curve.
2To select an entire path, hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS), and click the path using the direct selection tool. When an entire path is selected, all the anchor points are solid.
3To add points to a path, you select the add-anchor-point tool hidden under the pen tool and then click the path where you want to add an anchor point.
