Where are your photos? Once upon a recent time, the answer was easy: on your computer. Now, we’re no longer wedded to just one device. I organize and edit my photos in Lightroom on my MacBook Pro, but the bulk of the actual image files exist on an external hard disk, which may or may not be plugged in depending on where I’m working. More important, I now spend much more time using my iPad during non-work hours. Sitting on the couch is a great time to review my photos, but I have less of a desire these days to open my laptop—and deal with all the distractions it brings—to go through the images.
