Chapter Eleven Managing Illustration Workflow

Once you create an illustration, you’ll usually pass it to the next phase of an illustration workflow—sending the file to be integrated into a publication, integrated in a Web or other digital display, or incorporated into an animation (such as a Flash movie).

In some cases, you can simply pass along your AI file to a Flash animator or an InDesign layout person. In other cases (for example, preparing your illustration for display online), this means exporting an Illustrator file to another format that fits into the next phase of the workflow.
