Creating a banner logo with an envelope

You can use envelopes to create a warped shape or other distortions to selected objects. Once you apply an envelope, you can edit the original objects at any time. At any time you can also edit, delete, or expand an envelope.

In this part of this lesson, you'll create a logotype with a preset warp shape and use the warp shape as a ribbon on top of which to place the logotype. Then you'll add some transparency and drop shadow effects to the logotype.

Creating the logotype

You can make an envelope out of objects in your artwork, or you can use a preset warp shape or a mesh object as an envelope.
