Exploring on your own
Now that you've learned the basic steps about creating and using effects and styles, experiment with different combinations of appearance attributes to create interesting special effects. Try combining different styles to create new ones.
For example, here's how to merge two existing styles to create a brand new style.
1. | Choose File > New to open a new file. |
2. | If the Styles palette isn't visible on-screen, choose Window > Styles to display it. |
3. | In the Styles palette, select the Rustic Pen style (second row, rightmost style). |
4. | Add the Phantasmagoric style to the selection by Ctrl-clicking (Windows) or Command-clicking (Mac OS) the style to the left of the Rustic Pen style (second row, second style from the right) in the ... |
