Appendix A. Hexadecimal Color Codes

Throughout the book, we’ve referred to colors by their hexadecimal values, which are commonly used in HTML and other web programming. Using a hexadecimal value enables you to be very precise about the color you’re using, rather than referring to it as “blue” or “green.” Hexadecimal values are especially useful when you’re using the Adobe Color Picker or other tools that don’t list color names.

This chart shows 216 standard web colors and their hexadecimal color codes, as well as the RGB (red, green, and blue) values that combine to create the color.
