Layers are probably the most important workflow and design tool you have in Fireworks. Simply put, they add structure to your document. In previous lessons, you manipulated layers as directed, but in this lesson you will more fully explore the use of layers in a design.

Create new layers
Create sub layers
Change the stacking order of layers
Rename layers
Protect layers and objects
