Chapter 1. Getting a Quick Start

In this lesson, you’ll be introduced to Dreamweaver while building a sample web page and learning how to work within the Dreamweaver workspace. You’ll learn how to do the following:

  • Define a site in Dreamweaver

  • Explore the Dreamweaver workspace

  • Create a new page using a CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) Layout

  • Save a document

  • Modify the page title and change text headings

  • Insert text from an external document

  • Add foreground and background images

  • Create, modify, and select CSS styles

  • Work with Code view and Code and Design view

  • Preview your page in Live view or a browser
