Operating System Security
Included in ColdFusion is a <cfntauthenticate> tag. This allows you to integrate your ColdFusion code directly with the operating system’s security (as long as your operating system is Windows). The tag, <cfntauthenticate>, allows you to not only check a username and password against a Windows domain. You can optionally also return the list of groups a user belongs to.
