Eclipse ColdFusion Support

Eclipse does not ship with built-in ColdFusion support. To develop ColdFusion applications in Eclipse, you must manually install the ColdFusion Eclipse plug-ins.

For full ColdFusion support in Eclipse, you will need to install two plug-ins:

  • ColdFusion 8 comes with plug-ins that provide wizards, helps, the debugger, and more. These are distributed as an Eclipse archive .zip file, and can be downloaded from Adobe (as explained in Appendix A).

  • The ColdFusion Eclipse plug-in does not provide core CFML language awareness. For that, you will need to install the free community-created CFEclipse plug-in, which is available from http://www.cfeclipse.org/.

Both plug-ins can be installed using the Eclipse software installer screens ...
