Chapter 12. Using the CD View

Audition’s advanced audio extraction features provide options for importing and extracting audio files. You can also add text labels and track information for your custom CD projects.

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to do the following:

  • Use the CD View.

  • Extract audio tracks from CDs.

  • Set track properties.

  • Normalize a group of tracks.

  • Burn a Red Book compliant audio CD.

Getting Started

Using the CD View, you can engineer and create a professional quality audio CD from session files you’ve created, or from tracks you’ve extracted from your own CD library. You can also use Audition to extract pieces of audio tracks, or samples, which can be organized in the CD View.
