The average Web developer does not have to delve too much into security issues. HTML has few, if any, security concerns because of the limitations it has within the Web browser. When you start working with JavaScript, let alone client-side technologies like PHP or ASP.NET, security becomes more of an issue because poor handling of malicious input can impact a site’s visitors (and therefore your business). Because an AIR application runs on the user’s computer with the same powers and privileges as any other program, it’s important that Web developers making applications with the Adobe Integrated Runtime take extra time to consider several security-related problems and solutions.
