Chapter 11. Adding Signatures and Security

Adding Signatures and Security

You can digitally sign or certify Adobe PDF files to attest to the validity of the contents of the file. You can also protect your Adobe PDF files by applying security that limits how users can manipulate the contents of your files and even who can open your files.

In this lesson, you'll learn how to do the following:

  • Create a digital ID.

  • Digitally sign documents.

  • Create a picture signature.

  • Verify a digital signature.

  • Certify a document.

  • Apply password protection to a file to limit who can open it, and apply passwords to limit printing and changing of the file.

This lesson will take about 60 minutes to complete. ...
