The abuse that victims endure at home affects them in the workplace, impairing their ability to do their job. In one survey of survivors who were employed at the time of the abuse, 37 percent of the victims stated that it affected their job in a variety of ways, including being late for work, missing work altogether, or even causing them to eventually lose their job.
