Summary

Windows Server 2003 Active Directory provides many tools and options for managing user desktops. Group policies can be used to manage user data and profiles to provide users with a familiar work environment while still centrally managing some of the data. Group policies can be used to configure security settings so that all computers affected by a group policy will have a standard and persistent security configuration. Group policies are also used to define administrative templates, which can configure registry settings to manage user desktops. This chapter provided an overview of how you can implement all these options to manage user desktops.
