Preparing for Migration to Active Directory

Preparation for the migration from Windows NT 4 to Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory will occur in the following phases:

  1. Planning the migration

  2. Testing the migration plan

  3. Conducting a pilot migration

Additionally, you should plan for a period of maintenance and support to follow the deployment. However, this is not unique to a directory service migration project, and it is not discussed in this section.
