DNS is an essential network service for Windows Server 2003 networks. Without a stable DNS infrastructure, almost all logon and resource location efforts will fail on a Windows Server 2003 network. As a network administrator for a Windows Server 2003 network, you must become a DNS expert. This chapter provided an overview of how DNS works as a network service in any environment.
