Convert Video to Flash Video

Although you can import a variety of formats of images and sound files into your Flash projects, only one format is supported for video: Flash Video. In order to work in video in Flash, you need to convert it from whichever format it was created in to the Flash Video format. Flash Video files provide a small file size while maintaining quality. Flash Video is commonly referred to as FLV, after the file extension used with converted movies.

When you install Flash CS4 Professional, the Adobe Media Encoder is automatically installed as well. You need to use the Adobe Media Encoder in order to convert video from its original source format to FLV. You can access it either from the first screen ...
