This book is for executives, senior and upper-middle managers. It depicts one Company’s journey to ‘Class A Business Excellence’. It is based on a representative, but fictional, mid-size company with multiple operating divisions. Many people and business processes are touched by a journey of such magnitude. This Reader’s Reference Guide lists the people and positions they hold as you meet them in the story—the players’.
In the story, the company and players embark on carefully structured ‘Business Excellence Improvement Initiatives’, which are described in related chapters of the story. The breakdown of each Initiative is included in this guide, showing the Company’s journey, driven by their competitive priorities. Your company’s journey could well be different, but still needs to be carefully structured, depending on your competitive priorities. The meaning and objective of each Initiative is described in detail in the story.
