Norm Brodsky, “Street Smarts” columnist and senior contributing editor for Inc. magazine, has experienced the heights and the depths of what it means to run a small business. Among the six businesses he has founded and grown is Citistorage, a document-archive company, which he built to a mega-million-dollar success before selling it in 2007 for $110 million. He has declared bankruptcy twice in his life.
