Chapter 14. Testing Access Control Systems

TESTING IS A CRUCIAL ACTIVITY for any IT department because it provides assurances that access controls and other security systems are working as designed. It also illuminates gaps in security that may not be obvious to the casual observer. By testing IT architecture thoroughly and regularly, an organization will know how secure their systems really are, and what needs to be done to make those systems support the organization's security goals.
