Active Server Pages

Active Server Pages (ASP) is Microsoft’s server-based technology for creating dynamic Web pages. The data they display is often linked to a database through a scripting language such as VBScript. A common use of Active Server Pages is in company intranets. It certainly is one of the most popular ways to build Web pages that display up-to-date server-generated data. For example, Microsoft’s Web site has Active Server Pages. An example of a Microsoft Web address using ASP is www.microsoft.com/biztalk/using/tips/default.asp.
