Understanding Dynasets and Their Underlying Tables
As already mentioned, a select query retrieves records according to the description you provide in the query design grid. These records are called a dynaset. The resulting datasheet result looks like a table, but it has different characteristics.
A dynaset is dynamic and temporary. In contrast, a table is static and permanent. A dynaset reflects what is in the underlying table when the query is run. When the query is closed, the dynaset goes away. Dynamic, according to the dictionary, refers to a tendency to change.
