Case in Point: Carlos

Carlos was the news director for a television station who was considered to be a strong, innovative leader. During a coaching planning meeting, Carlos' manager made the comment that one of the areas on which he wanted Carlos to work was his indecisiveness. Interestingly enough, the company's HR leader, who was also present during the discussion, strongly disagreed with this statement. She claimed that, judging from the comments that had trickled back to her from Carlos' team, he was “more of a shoot-ready-aim kind of person.”
