Dereverberation

Abstract

Dereverberation employs signal processing techniques in order to reduce the degrading effects of reverberation in speech and music signals. Levels of reverberation in a signal can be high when the effects of the acoustic space in which the sound is captured are very noticeable and reverberation generally increases as the distance of the microphone from the sound source increases.
