Abstract

Radars operating in an open environment will receive returns from many sources. In addition to reflections from objects of interest, usually known as targets, the radar signal will include backscatter from the environment and other unwanted objects, known as radar clutter. A radar system is required to process the returns from targets in the presence of this unwanted clutter.
