Using SpeedFormat

You can use a variety of different formatting options to emphasize cells. A simple application of bold or italic might be enough. Or, you might decide to use a text color or a fill color to color the background of the cell.

Take my word for it—before you try to do all these things manually, you need to look at the SpeedFormat feature. There are plenty of different styles to choose from, and you can format an entire table in just seconds.

To use SpeedFormat on your spreadsheet

Click the SpeedFormat button, or choose Format, SpeedFormat to display the SpeedFormat dialog box (see Figure C.13).
