Copying Formulas

In many cases when you create a formula, you need to use it more than once. You might be totaling the contents of a column, and you need to do the same thing for another 10 columns. Rather than re-creating the formula each time, you can copy the first formula across to the other 10 columns. Through the magic of Quattro Pro, the formulas are automatically adjusted for the new cell addresses in each column.

To copy a formula

1.
Click in the cell that contains the formula you want to copy.

Point to the lower-right corner of the cell and wait for a crosshair pointer to appear. The crosshair pointer has very thin lines with no arrowheads, so don't mistake it for the thicker four-sided arrow.
