Chapter 8. Creating Side Notes

In This Chapter

  • What's a Side Note?

  • Side Notes can help you take a quick note

  • Accessing Side Notes

  • Manipulating Side Notes

So far you've created your first note and even worked with some of OneNote's structural components such as pages, folders, and sections. You've learned that OneNote can be used just like a legal pad to take notes, create drawings, and organize information. However, many people utilize another type of office supply to take quick notes, the sticky notepad.

This chapter will introduce you to Side Notes, the OneNote equivalent of a paper sticky note. Using Side Notes, you can quickly jot down an idea, take an audio recording, or even launch the full OneNote window.
