About the Author
Gareth Branwyn is a well-known technology journalist and self-proclaimed “reluctant deep geek.” He is a contributing editor for Wired and writes for other national magazines such as Esquire and I.D. (International Design). He has written over a halfdozen books on technology, media, and culture, including Mosaic Quick Tour (the first World Wide Web book ever published), Jargon Watch: A Pocket Dictionary for the Jitterati, and Jamming the Media: A Citizen’s Guide. Gareth is also owner and “cyborgin-chief” of Street Tech (www.streettech.com), a popular watering hole for gadget enthusiasts.
